Terms & Conditions

One Life To Travel - Terms and Conditions

TICO Registration #: T1561629

1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking travel services with One Life To Travel ("the Agency"), you ("the Client") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Role of the Agency
The Agency acts solely as an intermediary between the Client and travel service suppliers including but not limited to tour operators, airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and insurance providers ("Suppliers"). All bookings made are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective Suppliers. The Agency does not own, operate, or control the services provided by these Suppliers and shall not be held liable for their actions, omissions, or failures.

3. TICO Compliance
The Agency is registered with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) under registration number T1561629. As such, it adheres to all applicable consumer protection regulations as set out by TICO.

4. Deposits and Final Payments
Quotes are not guaranteed until a deposit is received. Deposits typically range from $150 to $300 per person but may vary by product. Final payment is due 45 to 60 days prior to departure unless otherwise specified. Failure to remit final payment by the deadline may result in cancellation, forfeiture of deposit, and applicable penalties. A non-refundable $50 rush booking fee applies to any travel arrangements made within 7 days of departure. Payment must be made at the time of booking.

5. Cancellations and Changes
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. The following penalties apply unless otherwise specified by the Supplier:

  • 60+ days before departure: loss of deposit and $200 administrative fee
  • 21–59 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
  • 0–20 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee Some bookings, including those during peak travel periods or involving group travel, may be 100% non-refundable. Supplier penalties may exceed the above amounts and shall be the responsibility of the Client.

6. Travel Insurance
The Agency strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance, including but not limited to cancellation, interruption, and medical coverage. Insurance must be purchased within 72 hours of booking to ensure eligibility for all benefits. The Agency is not responsible for denied claims, nor for decisions rendered by the insurance provider. All insurance claims must be submitted directly to the insurer. Approval or denial of claims rests solely with the insurance provider. The Agency is not liable for any decisions made by the insurer.

7. Documentation and Entry Requirements
The Client is solely responsible for obtaining and carrying valid travel documents including passports, visas, health certificates, and proof of vaccination. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended date of return. The booking details provided by the Client (including full name, date of birth, and passport information) must match exactly what appears in their passport or government-issued ID. Any discrepancies may result in denied boarding or travel interruptions, for which the Agency is not responsible.

8. Pricing and Currency
All prices are subject to change without notice until full payment is received. Quoted prices may not include taxes, fees, surcharges, or currency fluctuations unless explicitly stated. Errors in pricing or availability will not bind the Agency. The Agency is not responsible for price fluctuations, supplier adjustments, or perceived overcharges. Published or quoted pricing is subject to change until full payment is received. All pricing and availability are subject to change and cannot be guaranteed until confirmed by the Supplier at the time of booking.

9. Supplier Responsibility
All travel services are subject to the terms and conditions of the Suppliers. The Client agrees to be bound by those terms. The Agency is not responsible for any Supplier defaults, schedule changes, overbookings, service failures, or force majeure events. Hotel check-in and check-out times are determined by the property and may not align with your flight schedule. Access to hospitality areas, resort amenities, or early check-in is subject to hotel discretion and availability. The Agency is not responsible for associated inconvenience or denied requests. Hotel star ratings and classifications are determined by the destination country and may not reflect Canadian standards.

10. Air Ticketing Requirements
Some airfare components of your package may require early ticketing, before the final payment deadline. In such cases, payment will be due immediately upon notification. Failure to meet airline-imposed deadlines may result in cancellation or re-pricing of flights. Flight times are subject to change by the airline at any time, and such changes may occur after tickets are issued. The Agency is not liable for schedule adjustments, delays, or missed connections due to airline modifications.

11. Travel Standards and Local Conditions
The Client acknowledges that the standards of hygiene, accommodation, transportation, and medical facilities in the countries they visit may be lower than those in Canada. The Agency is not responsible for conditions that differ from Canadian expectations.

12. Refunds and Claims
Refunds are not guaranteed and are subject to Supplier approval. Claims for refunds must be submitted in writing within thirty (30) days of the scheduled return date and accompanied by all relevant documentation. No refund shall be granted for services not used by the Client.

13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Agency shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense arising from any act or omission of any third-party Supplier or other person not under its direct control. Liability shall in no case exceed the total amount paid to the Agency for the affected services.

14. Force Majeure
The Agency shall not be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, or Supplier insolvency.

15. Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceedings arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Ontario.

16. Privacy
The Agency collects and uses personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and its Privacy Policy. By booking with the Agency, the Client consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information as required to fulfill travel arrangements.

17. Group Travel
Additional terms apply to group reservations and will be specified in group contracts or on event-specific web pages. A group cancellation fee of $500 may apply in addition to other penalties.
